Jack Widman joined the firm in 1982 after receiving his Juris Doctorate from Villanova School of Law. He received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Hamilton College in 1977.

Jack is a member of the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Supreme Court, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Jack is recognized for his expertise in the fields of labor and employee benefits law. Jack has handled complex labor issues before the federal courts and the National Labor Relations Board. He serves as labor counsel to numerous association and corporate clients. Jack also serves as benefits counsel to corporate clients and multi-employer funds. Jack has advised these clients on a wide range of benefits matters, including plan design and qualification issues, plan drafting, plan interpretation, prohibited transactions, fiduciary responsibilities and compliance issues. Jack has represented employers, trustees, plan sponsors and plan administrators in benefits-related litigation throughout the United States.

Jack is past Chairman of the Lawyers Committee of the Associated General Contractors. He has authored the prohibited transactions section of a well-known employee benefits treatise, and has lectured on a variety of labor and employee benefits issues.
