Mariellen’s practice focuses on ERISA and employment law litigation as well as counseling clients on wage and hour, family and medical leave, disability accommodation, and unemployment compensation law. She regularly represents multi-employer benefit fund clients in federal court and represents companies in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.
Mariellen has also provided training to numerous organizations regarding avoidance of racial, ethnic, and sexual harassment in the workplace, and has spoken to companies regarding social media policies, hiring, firing, attendance concerns, electronic discovery, and litigation skills.
Mariellen obtained her undergraduate degree from Ursinus College in 1987 and her Juris Doctor from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 1990. She joined the firm in 1998 after spending seven years at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads in their labor and employment law group. She is a member of the bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey as well as numerous federal district and circuit courts.
In her free time, Mariellen provides pro bono representation for abused children with the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Program and enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and dog.
